Get Involved

If everyone who visited the Broads donated just £1 we could raise £7 million each year for projects to protect the National Park and its future. That’s how we came up for the idea for a ‘visitor-giving’ scheme, where visitors and local businesses contribute to the future of our beautiful region. There are several ways you can contribute:

Individual Membership

Everyone can make a big difference by joining the Love the Broads membership scheme. In return for an annual donation of just £15 (families £30), you will receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, a Love the Broads pin badge and invitations to exclusive members’ events, including guided walks and talks around the Broads. Interested? Click here to send an email to us to let us know of your interest and we will send you full details of how you can become a Member.  A membership to Love the Broads also makes the perfect present for your family and friends for special occasions and Christmas.

Individual Support

You can also support the Love the Broads scheme when you are out and about on the Broads by supporting one of our partner businesses. By scanning the businesses page, you can find out which are the businesses are supporting the scheme and make your contribution every time you make a purchase of goods or services from these suppliers.

You can also can support the scheme by purchasing badges, mug, books and other Love the Broads merchandise at Broads Authority information offices and other locations throughout the Broads.

We also welcome individual donations. If you would like to make a donation, please click here to visit our Justgiving page.

Business Partners

The Broads Trust is actively recruiting businesses within the Broads and its neighbouring areas to join the Love the Broads scheme. The more businesses which become partners, the greater the potential pot of money, and the more projects the Trust will be able to support with the funding that you and your customers donate. It costs nothing for a business to be involved but there are significant marketing benefits. Check out which businesses are already part of the scheme and click here to find out more.  You can contribute in the following ways:

  • Through sales of special Love the Broads merchandise – badges, booklets and mugs.
  • By asking your customers to make a small voluntary addition to their bill for goods or services for sale.
  • By encouraging your customers to make voluntary donations through collecting boxes.
  • By becoming a corporate member of Love the Broads and making an annual donation. Clik her for more details
  • By sponsoring a location in our growing Discovery Hub network – a great way to promote your business to visitors and local people while at the same time giving something back to the region they have come to see.
