Discovery Hubs are designed to promote The Broads as a sustainable, car-free destination creating a network that provides a way to explore the Broads on foot, by bike and on the water. As accessible information points, they will explain the history, wildlife and landscape of the area and will encourage people to visit the many and varied aspects of the National Park. They will be great places to relax and soak up the unique atmosphere of the Broads and to access local services, attractions and experiences.

Discovery Hubs are an initiative of the Broads Charitable Trust designed to promote sustainable, low-impact discovery of the National Park throughout the year. The Trust is working with local councils, public bodies and charities to find sources of funding for extending the building of the Discovery Hubs network.

We are especially grateful to Richardsons Boating Holidays for their generous sponsorship of the Discovery Hubs project, who are providing funding for the maintenance, development and promotion of the Hubs. Like so many of the Broads businesses we work with, they are committed to preserving and enhancing the unique landscape of the Broads for future generations and it's fair to say that without their help, this project may not have got off the ground

These three Discovery Hubs are the first of many. The Broads Trust’s vision is to create a network of Discovery Hubs, linked by footpaths, cycle routes and waterways, which will promote the Broads as one of the most sustainable destinations in the UK.

The Hubs will not only serve to raise the profile of The Broads Trust and the work it does across the region, they will also benefit everyone, including residents, visitors and above all businesses looking to raise their profile in the local area.

The hubs will provide a unique location for local businesses of all kinds to showcase their products and services. Sponsorship opportunities are available at each Hub and we are looking for partners as the project moves into the next phase of development.
