Based on the book The Last Eel on Earth by Ruthie Collins, it is designed to awareness of eel as a species, its extraordinary journey and illegal eel trafficking, which is big businees these days – European eels are now so rare (and sought after) that they’re targeted by criminals for the profits they can yield. .
The game is basically an interactive, participatory poem, with actions included for children to have fun throughout – while learning at the same time. First piloted as an interactive performance in a primary school for National Poetry Day 2021, it’s being now in print form for the first time.
